Research conducted within an organization regarding leadership styles has been a focus of inquiry for some time; specifically in relation to their affect on self-efficacy in employees. This research study is an exploration of how transformational and transactional leadership influences self-efficacy of higher education faculty, with organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) as a mediator. For the results of this study to be statistically viable and generalizable to the larger scope, an adequate sample size must be determined. This step ensures the results are accurate and provide a meaningful contribution to the academic relationship between leadership, self-efficacy and OCB.
