Introduction

Sociology provides important analytical opportunities in the consideration of human behavior, social institutions, and the forces that create societies. In today’s context of globalization, digitization, migration, and increasing disparities amongst groups, sociological research is essential for understanding social justice, the impacts of technology, identity, and the resilience of communities. This collection of dissertations spans areas of sociology from social theory to social media, digital society, gender studies, migration, globalization, and inequalities, to show how social science intersects with the politics, economic conditions, and shifts in culture around the world.
