Introduction

International studies have developed in reaction to and in keeping with new global power distributions, changed geopolitical realities, and growing issues like climate change and the rise of global health crises. This dissertation will address certain critical issues discussed in the field of international studies, including global governance, conflict resolution, human rights, diplomacy, and environmental politics, while considering how these forces are interconnected.

1. The role of Multilateral Diplomacy in Conflict Resolution: The Case of UN's Role in Syria

Focus: The dissertation will focus on the function of multilateral diplomacy in resolving conflict, examining the United Nations’ role with specific regard to Syria, and the challenges surrounding implementing peace in conflict zones.

2. Globalization and the Influence on National Identity: A Comparative Examination of Europe and Asia

Focus: The research will investigate how globalization has influenced national identity in various regions, especially exploring the experience of European and Asian nations in maintaining cultural identity in the face of globalization.

Focus: This dissertation will analyze the political economy of global health and the international response to, cooperation around, and disparity in systems of healthcare one significant socialist economic system through the lens of COVID-19.

7. Global Trade and Development: Emerging Economies, Trade Agreements and the New World Order

Focus: This research studies emerging economy’s role in shaping global trade agreements. This research situates states, particularly China and India, increasingly challenging existing power structures to global trade under international governance.

8. Conflict and Cooperation in the Middle East: Regional Powers and the New Global Security Architecture

Focus: The Dissertation examines regional political powers in the Middle East, including Iran and Saudi Arabia, that affect global security in how political leaders change their positions on issues driven by foreign policy operations and alliances at the regional or state level triggering global security dynamics.

9. Cybersecurity and Geopolitics: The Impact of Cyber Attacks on International Relations

Focus: This study explores the reputation of cybersecurity has taken on in international relations, with a particular focus on cyberattacks that have impacted the geopolitical context and influenced diplomatic behavior.

10. The Role of Global Financial Institutions in Global Economic Stability: A Case Study of the IMF and World Bank

Focus: This analysis explores the role that organizations such as the IMF and World Bank play in global economic stability, especially with regards to financial crises and economic restructuring.
