Speed Control of DC Motors: Optimal Closed PID-Loop Model Predictive Control

Enginneering & Technology

A DC motor’s speed is controlled either manually by the operator or automatically by a control unit. This is distinct from speed control, in which the speed is attempted to be sustained (or regulated) in the context of a normal shift in speed caused by a change in shaft load. The proposed study exposed the significance of PID-Loop model predictive control based on Speed control of DC motors. The study results conclude that the proposed tuning method’s promise and efficiency in maintaining reasonable closed-loop output efficiency for the dc motor without the use of structured process models.
