What are the five socio-economic factors?

The five social-economic factors are income, education, employment, community safety, and social supports. These affect our lifestyle as well as our span of living and among other things, affects our healthy choices, ability to afford medical care, stress management etc.

Although, when it comes to health, these factors are not really considered. Yet, improvement of these factors strategically can have a great effect on our health over time.

  • Education: to show the ones who has graduated high school or has attended a college in addition to the ones who are in lack of education.
  • Employment: details of statistics of unemployment.
  • Income: noting children in poverty and inequality in income.
  • Community safety: measurement of violent crimes in the society.
  • Family and social support: information on children with single parent and their access to social opportunities.
